Answer:

5y + 2x = 11

Explanation:

Given in the question,

co-ordinates of two points on graph = (3,1) and (-2,3)

To find,

equation of the line using the two co-ordinates given

Standard Equation of straight line

Ax+By=C

where y is y co-ordinate of a line

x is x coordinate of a line

c is intercept

First find gradient of the line

gradient = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

gradient = (3-1) / (-2-3)

gradient = -(2/5)

put value of gradient and a coordinate in the equation

y = mx + c

1 = (-2/5)(3) + c

1 = -6/5 + c

1 + 6/5 = c

c = 11/5

So equation of the given line in standard

y = (-2/5)x + 11/5

5y = -2x + 11

5y + 2x = 11
