Think about what it might be like if there were not federal court system and each state ran its courts differently. What are the benefits of having a uniform national legal system?

Judicial rulings may be unpopular - depending on the ruling at issue - but it is essential to make things run smoothly that there is a highest authority that is final. It ensures that citizens in each state have equal rights and protection under the law. And without that, There would be more problems than you started with.

Hello, Never fear The Human Spider is here!!

Answer: Federal courts are established under the U.S. Constitution to decide disputes involving the Constitution and laws passed by Congress. The differences between federal and state courts are defined mainly by jurisdiction. Jurisdiction refers to the kinds of cases a court is authorized to hear.
