Answer: The correct answer is-

Solar energy ( light energy ) to Chemical energy.

Plants synthesize their own food using carbon dioxide and water in the presence of sunlight. This process is called photosynthesis.

During this process, energy from sunlight is first absorbed by chlorophyll ( a green pigment present in the chloroplast) and then it is converted into chemical energy in the form of ATP and NADPH.

In the next phase ( a light independent phase), this chemical energy is then used for the formation of carbohydrate ( glucose).

Thus, light energy is converted to chemical energy during photosynthesis.

Plants converts solar energy into chemical energy through the process of photosynthesis . The electron and proton from the water molecules are used to produce energy transport molecules i.e ATP and NADPH, in the light reaction phase of photosynthesis. The energy of the sun excites the chlorophyll molecule which in turn release high energy electron. The energy of ATP and NADPH is further used to fix the carbon in the Kelvin cycle.
