I like the suggestion to exhaust a library's resources first. If you can find a good book on your topic, it can save you hours of wasting time online sifting through information that may or may not be related to your topic, not to mention running the risk of attracting your attention away from your research task. A published book has already been through an editing process that provides focused and accurate information. Most students these days ignore books in favor of going online, but they could save a lot of time looking at books first.
