The statement that correctly describes both triangles drawn by Alex is D. Both triangles have an obtuse angle
What is an obtuse angle ?
An obtuse angle is an angle that measures more than 90° but less than 180°. In other words, an obtuse angle is larger than a right angle (90°) but smaller than a straight angle which is 180 °.
In the triangles shown, we can see obtuse angles at the side of the triangle that is facing left in the first triangle and to the upper left in the second triangle. These angles are both larger than 90 ° but are not a straight line and so are less than 180 °.
