First Problem;

Simplify 4/3x to 4x/3

-4x/3 + 7 = 31

Subtract 7 from both sides

-4x/3 = 31 - 7

Simplify 31 - 7 to 24

-4x/3 = 24

Multiply both sides by 3

-4x = 24 × 3

Simplify 24 × 3 to 72

-4x = 72

Divide both sides by -4

x = -72/4

Simplify 72/4 to 18

x = -18

Seond problem;

Simplify 2/7x to 2x/7

3/7 - 2x/7 = 1/7

Join the denominators

3 - 2x/7 = 1/7

Multiply both sides by 7

3 - 2x = 1/7 × 7

Simplify 1/7 × 7 to 1

3 - 2x = 1

Subtract 3 from both sides

-2x = 1 - 3

Simplify 1 - 3 to -2

-2x = -2

Divide both sides by -2

x = 1
