The Main Street Market sells oranges at $3.00 for 5 pounds and apples at $3.99 for 3 pounds. The Off-market sells oranges at $2.59 for 4 pounds and apples at $1.98 for 2 pounds.


(A). Find the unit price for each item at each store.

(B) which store has the better buy for oranges? For apples?

A) Unit prices for Main Street Market= Oranges $.6 Apples= $1.33

Unit Prices for Off Street market= Oranges= $.65 Apples= $.99

B) Main Street Market has the best price for Oranges Off-Market has the best price for Apples.
