use either of ur points....(5,1)....x = 5 and y = 1

now sub and find b, the y int

1 = -1/7(5) + b

1 = -5/7 + b

1 + 5/7 = b

7/7 + 5/7 = b

12/7 = b

equation is : y = -1/7x + 12/7....but we need it in standard form...

y = -1/7x + 12/7

1/7x + y = 12/7

x + 7y = 12 <== standard form
