Jake is flying his helicopter on a trip from the airport to his secret hideout. If he flies at
140 miles per hour, the trip takes 3.2 hours. How long will the trip take if he flies at 160 miles per
hour?

Formula

d1 = d2

d = r*t

Givens

r1 = 140 miles / hour

t1 = 3.2 hours

r2 = 160 miles / hour

t2 = ?

Equation

r1*t1 = r2 * t2

Solution

140 * 3.2 = 160 * t2

448 = 160* t2

448 / 160 = t2

t2 = 2.8 hours
