I made a fort for my pet gorilla by connecting two boxes. The first box is 5meters long, 9 meters wide, and 9 meters high. The second box is 3 meters long, 8 meters wide, and 2 meters high.

Answer:

453m
^(3)

Explanation:

we know that

The cubic meters of space does the gorilla have to play in her fort is equal to adds the volume of the first box and the volume of the second box

The volume of the box is equal to

V1 = LWH

so

Find the volume of the first box:

V1 = 5*9*9 = 405m
^(3)

Find the volume of the second box:

V2 = 3*8*2 = 48m
^(3)

Add V1 and V2.

405m
^(3) + 48m
^(3) = 453m
^(3)

Hope this helps!
