the answer is A. there should be quotations around the preacher's comment.

I believe the sentence that contains an error in word usage is: D) One aspect of T. S. Eliot's poetry that makes it so difficult is his usage of many literary elusions.

Elusion means to escape, to evade something; while allusion is defined as an expression to call something without mention it explicitly, and is often used as a literary resource, giving sentence D much more sense.
