The small 5 up top means "exponent" telling us how many copies of the 10 we multiply together. In this case we have five copies of "10" multiplied out like so

10^5 = 10*10*10*10*10 = 100,000

which is the number "one hundred thousand"

note how in the answer there are 5 zeros, which is not a coincidence

Answer: 100000

Explanation:

That's 1 and then 5 zeros.

How?

10^5 = 10 • 10 • 10 •10 • 10 = 100000
