Explain how the energy changes on a rollercoaster between potential energy and kinetic energy?

The energy changes because at the top of the roller coaster you are at a stop( potential) and when you go down the slope you gain speed(kinetic)

When the roller coaster is going up the hill, the potential energy (stored energy) is increasing and once at the top of the hill the potential energy is at its highest point becuase the velocity Is almost zero. Once the rollercoaster falls and speeds down the hill, the potential energy is converting to kinetic energy because of the movement. Kinetic energy is moving energy and potential energy is stored energy.
