we know that

If two figures are similar, then the ratio of its areas is equal to the scale factor squared

Let

z-----> the scale factor

x-----> the area of the resulting triangle

y-----> the area of the original triangle

so


z^(2) =(x)/(y)

we have


z=4


y=30\ cm^(2)

substitute and solve for x


4^(2) =(x)/(30)


x=16*30=480\ cm^(2)
