where n is number of side of a polygon which in this case is 5 because pentagon have 5 sides

s =(5-2) * 180

s =(3)* 180

s =540°

A pentagon has 5 sides, and can be made from three triangles, so you know what its interior angles add up to 3 × 180° = 540°
