So the sum of all the angles in a triangle is 180

So:

91 + 40 + C = 180

131 + c = 180

c = 49

Now the sum of the angles on a line is also 180

So

Angle 1 plus angle c is 180

x + 49 = 180

x = 131 : Angle 1 is 130 degrees
