I've been working on this for hours. Lesson didn't say what to do with triangles. Please help.

Find the value of x. Then find the measure of each labeled angle.

Answer:

see explanation

Explanation:

The 2 labelled angles are corresponding angles and congruent, hence

9x - 10 = 5x + 38 ( subtract 5x from both sides )

4x - 10 = 38 ( add 10 to both sides )

4x = 48 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 12

The measure of each angle is

9x - 10 = (9 × 12 ) - 10 = 108 - 10 = 98° = 5x + 38

Answer:

The value of x is 12

The measure of 5x + 38 = 5(12) + 38 = 98°

The measure of 9x - 10 = 9(12) - 10 = 98°

Explanation:

∵ From parallel

∴ 5x + 38 = 9x - 10 ⇒ corresponding angles

∴ 9x - 5x = 38 + 10

∴ 4x = 48

∴ x = 12

∴ The measure of 5x + 38 = 5(12) + 38 = 98

∴ The measure of 9x - 10 = 9(12) - 10 = 98
