I used the elimination method:

Multiply 9x+4y=7 by 2: 18x+8y=14

Multiply 6x-4y=2 by 3: 18x-12y=6

{18x+8y=14}

{18x-12y= 6}

18x-12y=6

-

18x+8y=14

_____________

-20y= -8

{18x + 8y = 14}

{-20y= -8}

Isolate y

y= 2/5 For 18x+8y=14 plug in y=2/5

Sovle 18x+8(2/5)=14 for x: x=3/5

THE SOLUTIONS FOR THE SYSTEMS OF EQUATIONS ARE:

y= 2/5, x=3/5

Hope This Helps! Have A Nice Day!!
