Answer:

x < -3 ( -∞, -3)

Explanation:

4x + 6 < -6

4x < -12 (subtract 6 from both sides to isolate the x term)

x < -3 (divide by 4 on both sides to isolate x)

This means any value less than -3 will satisfy the inequality

( -∞, -3) is the expression x < -3 in interval notation. I don't know if that's necessary or not but i included for you anyway

Answer:

x < -3

Explanation:

Isolate the x. What you do to one side, you do to the other. Do the opposite of PEMDAS.

First, subtract 6 from both sides.

4x + 6 (-6) < -6 (-6)

4x < -6 - 6

4x < -12

Next, divide 4 from both sides.

(4x)/4 < (-12)/4

x < -12/4

x < -3

x < -3 is your answer.
