The point-slope form of the equation of a line that passes through points (8, 4) and (0, 2) is y − 4 = (x − 8). What

is the slope-intercept form of the equation for this line?
Oy=2x-12
O y = -x-4
Oy=x+2
O y = ¹x+6

\large\boxed{y=(1)/(4)x+2}

The point-slope form is actually
y-4=(1)/(4)(x-8); I assume there was a copy/paste issue.

Also, the correct answer is not in the answer choices given; again assuming a copy/paste issue.

Start by distributing the
(1)/(4) to
x and
-8.

y-4=(1)/(4)x-2

Add
4 to both sides of the equation.

\begin{aligned}y-4+4&=(1)/(4)x-2+4\\y&=(1)/(4)x+2\end{aligned}
