Answer: 8^(2+(2/3))

Explanation:

2 to the 8th power of 256, and 8 to the 2nd power is 64. However, 8 to the third power is 512, which means that our answer has to be between 2 and 3. 8/3=2. Using an equation that works with all exponents of two (The exponenet that is right below the number we're looking for, or 2, in this case, plus ((number/exponent) will give us our answer. since 8/3 = 2, our answer will be 2+(2/3)

Answer:

x = 8/3

Explanation:

8^x = 256

Replace 8 with 2^3 and 256 with 2^8

2^3 ^x = 2^8

We know that a^b^c = a^(b*c)

2 ^ (3x) = 2^8

The bases are the same so the exponents are the same

3x= 8

Divide each side by 3

3x/3 = 8/3

x = 8/3
