A restaurant has 1/3 tray of baked pasta left over after dinner. If 6 workers share the remaining baked pasta equally, what fraction of a tray will each worker get?

I believe the answer is 1/18.

Since there is only a third left, you can multiply the denominator of 1/3 (which is 3) to get 18. So, out of the whole pasta tray each of the remaining workers would get 1/18 of the pasta.

Good luck.

Answer:

Each worker will get
(1)/(18) of a tray.

Explanation:

Given,

The remaining part of tray of baked pasta =
(1)/(3)

Number of workers = 6,

If each worker share the remaining baked pasta equally,

Then the share of each worker in the tray =
\frac{\text{Remaining part}}{\text{total workers}}

=((1)/(3))/(6)

=(1)/(18)
