~Hello There!~

It would be 10/8 or 1 2/8

The denominator is the same so all you have to do is add the numerators together.

Hope This Helps You!

Good Luck :)

Hey there!

\bold{(5)/(8)+(5)/(8)}

  • Firstly, you would need to solve the
    \bold{numerators} (the two top numbers)

  • \bold{5+5=10}
  • The
    \bold{denominators} stays the same

  • \bold{8=8}

  • \bold{(10)/(8)}
  • Both numbers go into
    \bold{2}
    so you have to divide the
    \bold{numerator} and the
    \bold{denominator} by it

  • \bold{(10/2)/(8/2)}

  • \bold{(10)/(2)=5}

  • \bold{(8)/(2)=4}

  • \boxed{\boxed{\bold{Answer:(5)/(4)}}}

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!
