The radius of the larger circle is 10 cm the radius of the smaller circle is 5 cm what is the approximate area of the shaded region

Answer:

The larger circle area is 314 cm

The smaller circle area is 78.5 cm

Explanation:

The formula for circles area is r^2×π

r is radius to the power or 2 then multiplied by 3.14

The big circle is 10 so 10 to the second power is 100

So 100×3.14=314

Therefore, the big circle's area is 314 cm

You do the same for the smaller circle

5 to the second power is 25

25×3.14=78.5

And for this reason the area of the smaller circle is 78.5 cm
