The answers are A and D

You would first see if u can factor the equation:
First move the 4 over and set equation =0
2x^2+7x -4 = 0; next factor:
(2x - 1)(x + 4); now set each set of parentheses equal to 0:
2x-1= 0
2x=1, so x= 1/2

x+4=0
X=-4
