A grid shows the positions of a subway stop and your house. The subway stop is located at (7,-4) and your house is located at (-3,6). What is the distance, to the nearest unit, between your house and the subway stop?

Explanation:

To determine the distance between two points, get the difference between the y-co-ordinates which is (6)-(-4)=10 units in this case. Consequently obtain the difference between the x-co-ordinates values which in this case is -3-7=-10 units. Thereafter we square these two values, sum them then obtain their square root. That is, square root of (100+100). √200 = 14.14
