Answer:

Explanation

  • number Unit Description
  • 10 Feet base of billboard
  • 6 Feet height of billboard
  • 4 Feet height of logo
  • 7 Feet base of logo
  • unknown percentage percentage of area that is red

why is write an equation a good strategy for solving this problem= An equation can be used to calculate the unkown value from givin information

Choose the sentence that describes how the quantities in the problem are related =The percentage of the total area that is red is 100 times the ratio of the logos area to the entire billboards area.

Use the button below to build an equation with words and symbols = base of logo x height of logo/base of billboard x height of billboard

select the best explanation of solution = The percentage of the billboard that is red is 46.67%

Which statement best explains why your solution is reasonable = The logos area is 28 sq ft and the billboards area is 60 sq ft. 28 is a little less than half of 60. 46.67%is a little less than half or 50% so its reasonable.

which statement best explains why write an equation was an effective strategy for solving this problem = My equation showed how the unkown can be calculated from the numbers in the problem.

Hope This HELPS!!!!

the percentage = area(parallelogram)/area(rectangle).100

so

percent = (4.7)/(6.10).100 = 140/3= 46.6
