Answer:

A. A = 7x

B. S = x^2 +4x + 21

C. T = A + S

Explanation:

A.

  • A = l*w
  • A = 7x

B.

  • S = A1 + A2 + A3
  • S = x^2 + 4x + 21

C.

The values are related by the total area, T = L x W

L = (7+x), W = (4+x)

  • T = (7+x)(4+x)
  • T =x^2 + 11x + 21

Remember that total area we found? If we add the area of the big rectangle and the sum of the other (smaller) rectangles we get the total! Dont believe me?

  • A + S = 7x + x^2 + 4x + 21
  • A + S = T = x^2 + 11x + 21
