Suppose you choose a marble from a bag containing 6 red marbles , 2 white marbles and 5 blue marbles you return the first marble to the bag and then you choose again find P ( red and blue )

We need to know how many marbles in the bag

6 red marbles + 2 white marbles + 5 blue marbles = 13 marbles

P (red) = red / total = 6/13

We then put the marble bad so there are still 13 marbles in the bag

P(blue) = blue /total = 5/13

P (red then blue ) = P(red) *P(blue)

= 6/13 * 5/13 = 30/169
