Here is your answer

a) Yes

b) SAS congruency criteria.

PQ=ST, angleQ= angleT, QR=TU

c) Since, triangles are congruent

by CPCT

PR=SU

=> 3y-2=y+4

=> 3y-y= 4+2

=> 2y= 6

=> y=6/2

=> y=3

so, PR = 3y-2= 3×3 -2

= 9-2

= 7 ft

PR=7ft

So,

Perimeter of Tri. PQR= PQ+QR+PR

=(4+6+7) ft

= 17ft

HOPE IT IS USEFUL

Answer:

a they are congruent

b SAS

c perimeter is 17 ft

Explanation:

a. PQR is Congruent to STU

b. We can use SAS (side angle side and the angle must be between the two sides)

because PQ = ST =4

Q= T

and QR = TU =6

c. PR = SU so

3y-2 = y+4

Subtract y from each side

3y-2 -y = y+y+4

2y -2 =+4

Add 2 to each side

2y -2+2 = 4+2

2y =6

Divide by 2

2y/2 = 6/2

y =3

We need to find the perimeter

ST +TU+SU = perimeter

4+6+y+4 = perimeter

14+y

14+3

17
