Conductance is the reciprocal of resistance.

If the resistance is 0.0004 ohms, then the conductance is

1/(0.0004 ohms) = 2,500 mhos

The conductance is a property inverse to resistance. Usually denoted by G, the conductance is can be calculated directly, given the resistance (R) :

G = (1)/(R)=(1)/(4\cdot10^(-4)\Omega)=2.5\cdot 10^3 S=2500S

The unit of conductance is 1 Siemens.

The conductance of the silver wire is 2500 Siemens.
