Answer:

Area in in terms of pi is 16 π

Explanation:

The cookies ar circular so, we have to use the formula of circle area

Area= π r²

where

r is radius of the cookie

We have the diameter that is the double of the radio.

So, radio will be 8/2=4

Area= π r²

Area= π 4²

Area= 16 π

Answer:

A =
16\pi
cm^(2)

Explanation:

∵ The diameter of the mug is 8 cm and using to cut out circular cookies

∴ The diameter of each circular cookie is 8 cm

∴ Its radius = 8 ÷ 2 = 4

∵ Area of the circle =
\pi r^(2)

∴ Area =
\pi 4^(2)=16\pi cm^(2)
