For this word problem i would say the most plausible answer would be the state he or she lives in because if you don't have access to a computer at home for an online report it can prevent you from doing things.

The correct answer is A.

The number of hours a high school student is allowed to work depends on the state he or she lives in. Usually, the allowed amount of time is 15 to 20 hours a week. The minimum age to start working is 14. During summer or school breaks, the high school student is allowed to work up to 40 hours a week.

A part-time job may help students develop some particular or new interests or talents outside of their school curriculum. It teaches them responsibility and showing up on time.

Any student should take their grades in school into consideration while trying to work. If the job compromises the learning time necessary for proper studying, it may be advisable to reduce the work hours, give up the job completely or exchange it for a less time-demanding one.
