In a certain Algebra 2 class of 24 students, 8 of them play basketball and 15 of them play baseball. There are 7 students who play neither sport. What is the probability that a student chosen randomly from the class plays both basketball and baseball?

Using the rules of probability:

P(A∩B)=P(A)+P(B)−P(A∪B) = 8/24 + 15/24 − 17/24 = 6/24 which reduces to 1/4 Play both.
