We can find the area of the total figure by adding the area of the rectangle and the are of the triangle

A rectangle = l*w

The length is 8.4 and the width is 6

A rectangle = 8.4*6 =50.4

A triangle = 1/2 b*h

The base is 6 and the height is 13.2 - 8.4 =4.8

A triangle = 1/2 (6) (4.8)

=14.4

We add these areas together

A total = 50.4 + 14.4

64.8 cm^2
