why does the multiplication property of equality not allow us to divide both sides of an equation by zero​

Explanation:

Because dividing with zero isn't a "thing" in math. Let's say you have 12 cookies but you're saying you are going to divide among zero people? See? It doesn't even have a real answer because no action happens, but if you said you would split the 12 cookies among 6 people that would means each person would get 2. So multiplying and dividing with zero isn't real math, that's why it doesn't work with equations and math in general.
