A car travels for x hours at a speed of (x + 2) km/h. If the distance

travelled is 15 km, write down an equation for x and solve it to find
the speed of the car.

Explanation:

S = v/t

(x+2)km/h

((x+2)×1000)/(60×60) = (15×1000)/(60×60)

(5(x+2)/18) = 25/6

30(x+2) = 18×25

x+2 = 15

x = 13m/s
