Andrew Jackson served as 7th President of the United States. During his presidency, he signed the "Indian Removal Act", which authorized the relocation of Indian Communities Throughout the states to a special territory designated to be the new home for Native Americans. This territory was west of the Mississipi River, in what is now the states of Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma.
