Answer:

D 97 cm^2

Explanation:

The area of the circle is

A = pi * r^2

We need to convert diameter to r

d =2r

d/2 =r

12/2=r

6 =6

The radius is 6

A= pi *6^2

A = 36 *(3.14)

A = 113.04 cm^2

Now the fraction of the circle that is shaded is 301degrees out of 360

(A circle is 360 degrees)

310/360 * area of a circle

310/360 * 113.04

97.34
