Volume is area of the triangular part x length.
Area of triangle = 1/2 x base x height = 1/2 x 6 x 4 = 12 square feet.
Volume = 12 x 8 = 96 cubic feet.
Surface area = area of two triangles ( front and back ) , which we calculates the area of one in Part A, plus the surface area of the two sides plus the area of the bottom:
Area of two triangles = 12 x 2 = 24 square feet.
Area of one side = 5 x 8 = 40 square feet
Area of two sides = 40 x 2 = 80 square feet.
Area of bottom = 6 x 8 = 48 square feet.
Total surface area = 24 + 80 + 48 = 152 square feet.
