hypotenuse=34\\base=16\\perpendicular=x

Apply pythagorous theorem in given figure


34^2=x^2+16^2


34^2-16^2=x^2


1156-256=x^2


x^2=900


x=30

plugging these value in the above relation ,we get

x^2 = 900

taking square root ,we get
