The three main types of industrialization are: classical, late and planned.

Classical industrialization is characteristic of the developed countries that throughout the First Industrial Revolution in those that were considered the main economic and political centers of the planet. It began in England and spread to other parts of the world, such as France, the United States and Japan.

Planned industrialization occurred in the countries of the former socialist "second world" during the twentieth century. It corresponds to the economies of state, as in the republics that integrated the Soviet Union, besides China, Cuba and other nations.

Late or peripheral industrialization is underway in many countries and is prevalent in underdeveloped or emerging economies. These countries began to stimulate their industrial practices only in the second half of the twentieth century onward (some of them have not even begun this process in a more intensified way), which in part justifies the technological backwardness experienced by them.
