Computers were instrumental in the field of diagnostic imaging. Because of them, digital imaging is possible. Computers are used as control systems for a wide variety of industrial/consumer devices (field of diagnostic imaging). Modern computers have the ability to follow generalized sets of operations - programs. These programs enable computers to perform an extremely wide range of tasks (digital imaging).
Diagnostic imaging > A variety of non-invasive methods of looking inside the body to help determine the causes of an injury/an illness and to confirm a diagnosis (also used to see how your body is responding to a treatment for an illness/a fracture). Diagnostic imaging is quick/easy for the patient and provides little interruption to your day. Examples: Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging.
