Part A

Answer: x = 21

-------------

Work Shown:

The three angles of a triangle add to 180, so,

A+B+C = 180

x+6x+10+x+2 = 180

8x+12 = 180

8x+12-12 = 180-12 ... subtract 12 from both sides

8x = 168

8x/8 = 168/8 ... divide both sides by 8

x = 21

=====================================

Part B

Answer: Angle C = 136 degrees

--------------

Work Shown:

Use the value of x found back in part A

Replace every x with 21, then use PEMDAS to simplify

angle C = (6x+10) degrees

angle C = (6*21+10) degrees

angle C = (126+10) degrees

angle C = 136 degrees
