What occurred at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory in 1911 that caused New York and other states to pass safety laws to protect factory workers?

Nearly 150 workers died when a poorly constructed floor gave way under heavy machinery.

Many workers collapsed and some died when overcome by chemical fumes in an unventilated dyeing room.

Several children were caught in a weaving machine and crushed to death.

Nearly 150 workers died, trapped behind locked doors, when a factory caught fire.

There was a fire and people died because they couldn't escape because the doors were locked.
