How do i find the angle of theta if my right angle triangle has the opposite of 14 and adjacent of 12. i have used theta= tan-1 (14/12)

but the angle i got was not correct

If this is the angle you obtained it is correct.

I suggest you check the mode on your calculator is at deg setting and not rad
