1. 13.75= 0.25b +0.50
-0.50 -0.50
13.25 = 0.25b; divide both sides by 0.25 to isolate b and you get:
53 = b
2. 10w + 4w = -84
Add like terms!
14w = -84; divide both sides by 14 to isolate w and you get:
w = -6
