To find the equation of a slope, you use the following equation:

y_(1) - y = m(
x_(1) - x)

All you do now is substitute in the value for the gradient, y and x, like so:

Note: gradient =
(9)/(4), y = -4, x = 3

y_(1) - y = m(
x_(1) - x)

y - - 4 =
(9)/(4) ( x - 3) ( note, 2 negatives make a positive)

y + 4 =
(9)/(4) ( x - 3)

--------------------------------------------------------------

Answer

C ) y + 4 =
(9)/(4) ( x - 3)
