The answer is: Destroying the wetlands will create species to relocate to a new area.

Destroying a certain type of environment will not necessary create a new species.

New species often created over a long period of time after undergoing an extensive genetic mutation. This process can be accelerated if the organisms are exposed to the waste from the factories. But even so, the chance for this occurrence is small.
