For the triangle problem, it’s 6 of them to make a hexagon.
So A=1/2 bh * 6
A=3(3)(3)=27 sq ft
For the top problem, it’s a rectangle plus a triangle.
A=bh + 1/2 bh
A=11(9) + 1/2(11)(6)
A=99+33=132 sq ft
